The list of classes, with times and locations, for the late summer into autumn season is now published. I’ve tried to distribute the classes according to past experience, but I’m always happy to discuss with you a custom schedule that better fits your particular needs. Times on weekdays are the most flexible, but just let me know what you’d like to do. I’ll do my best to make things work. As well, customizing the content of classes is a possiblity. For example, the Essentials of Sea Kayaking class can be done with Greenland Paddles instead of the conventional “Euro” blades — so long as all the students are using the “stick.” Please note, however, SSKS can’t offer instruction in rolling.
I encourage students to, whenever possible, to use their own equipment; but SSKS will furnish just about all the gear, including kayaks and except for personal clothing, one will need for class (included in the price). This training WILL be in sit-in cockpit sea kayaks. I’ll look forward to seeing you on the water for an enjoyable learning experience! Ted, Owner
