Completely filling out our Class Registration Form is important for SSKS determining the properly fitting kayak, life jacket, and other equipment to make your experience the best possible.  Having your medical information is vital for your safety as well as that of your fellow students and the instructor(s), as it allows us to anticipate potential areas of concern while we’re on, or in, the water.  Please be assured that SSKS will treat your personal information with the utmost confidentiality, just as we would expect of our own!  In the unlikely event of an emergency, this information would be important to first responders, as well.

After submitting your registration form, you will be directed to our “Choose a Class” page to add your class to your shopping cart.  You will receive an email confirmation of your registration after you check out.

Key areas of concern include but are not limited to: Ability to Swim, Hearing, Uncorrected Vision, Circulation, Ability to Reason and Make Decisions, Restrictions on Mobility or Motor Control, Deficiencies in Sensation or Stamina, Difficulty in Speaking, Balance Issues, Ability to Float, and/or Manual Dexterity. If you have problems in any of these areas, please let us know; and we'll do our best to accommodate you. However, we may not be able to successfully address all possible scenarios, and for your safety, may have to preclude you from our instruction. If you have concerns, please contact us. Class fees include a non refundable $50 deposit. In the event of cancellation more than 48 hours prior to the start time for the first class session, the full amount of the participant’s class fee, minus the $50 deposit, will be refunded. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of the start time for the first class session. Failure to attend the first or only session of a class, without notice, will be considered a cancellation without notice and no refund will be given. SSKS may elect to credit fees paid, toward future classes/events when these fees paid are less than $50. If a class is rescheduled, SSKS will apply the same timeline as for a cancellation, with the adjusted amount (if any) applied to the rescheduled date(s). In the unlikely event SSKS must cancel, a full refund will be given to the registered student(s) affected by that cancellation.
